EMILY PAGE (NELSON) KEMP, wife of Joseph St George Bryan and mother of Joseph Bryan, III
The Kemp family enters the Brook Hill gene pool with the marriage, in 1902, of Joseph St George Bryan (the fourth of the five Bryan Brothers) to Miss Emily Page Nelson Kemp. Their son, Joseph Bryan, III became the resident caretaker of Brook Hill in the 1960s. "Granny Bryan" was very proud of her Page and Nelson bloodlines, which connected her to the great Page family seat of Rosewell in Gloucester County as well as to Governor "Scotch Tom" Nelson.
